The DR® PRO 475P PTO Wood Chipper is a 3-point hitch chipper designed for use with Category 1 tractors. It can process hardwood branches up to 4.75 inches in diameter and features a large hopper opening designed to accommodate branches with side growth, helping reduce the need for extensive trimming before chipping. A PTO shaft is included for connection to a compatible Category 1 tractor.

Self-Feeding Chipping Action

The DR® PRO 475P uses a vertically oriented hopper, an angled heavy-duty chipping knife, and an air channel designed to help pull branches into the chipping mechanism and move wood chips through the discharge. Most materials are designed to self-feed after being placed into the hopper, reducing the need to manually force branches into the chipper.

The self-feeding design allows the operator to place a branch into the hopper and move on to the next branch while the machine processes the material.

4.75-Inch Chipping Capacity

The PRO 475P is designed to chip branches up to 4.75 inches in diameter. Its large 17-inch x 27-inch hopper opening can accommodate branches with side branches and growth, which can reduce the amount of pruning or trimming needed before material is loaded.

PTO Shaft Included

A PTO shaft is included with the DR® PRO 475P to simplify connection and disconnection between the chipper and a compatible tractor. The chipper is designed for use with Category 1 tractors.

PRO-SPEC™ Chipper Knife

The PRO 475P features a hardened steel PRO-SPEC™ chipper knife. The knife is made from high-carbon/high-chromium forged alloy tool steel and is designed to retain its cutting edge during use.

As with other cutting tools, maintaining a sharp knife is important for proper chipping performance. The manufacturer recommends keeping a replacement knife available to help minimize downtime when maintenance is required.
