The DR® XD30 is a commercial-ready field and brush mower equipped with an 18.5 HP Kawasaki® FS600V V-Twin engine and a 30-inch pivoting cutting deck. It is designed for frequent mowing, extended runtimes, brush clearing, trail maintenance, and other demanding field applications.
Two independent hydrostatic wheel drives provide variable-speed control and zero-degree turning capability, while integrated hand guards help protect the operator when working around brush and briars. Built-in tie-down hooks provide dedicated anchor points for transportation.

18.5 HP Kawasaki Commercial-Duty Engine
The XD30 features a Kawasaki® FS600V V-Twin engine rated at 18.5 HP with 603 cc of displacement. The engine uses electric starting and a full-pressure oil pump designed to support operation on slopes up to 20 degrees.
The manufacturer specifies this engine as a 49-state model that is not available in California.
Independent Hydrostatic Wheel Drive
Two independent hydrostatic wheel drives provide variable-speed operation and zero-degree turning capability. The independent drive system allows the mower to be maneuvered around obstacles and through tighter areas without requiring a large turning radius.
Intuitive Hydrostatic Controls
The hydrostatic controls provide fingertip operation. A hand lever controls forward movement, while a thumb lever controls reverse. The pressure-sensitive controls allow the operator to adjust travel speed according to the amount of lever pressure applied.
30-Inch Pivoting Deck
The 30-inch cutting deck provides a wide mowing path for clearing grass and brush while maintaining maneuverability. The deck pivots from side to side to follow the contours of rough terrain, helping minimize scalping and improve traction.
Custom-Made Blade Spindle
The blade spindle is constructed from 1.375-inch-thick cast iron and features oversized, double-sealed bearings. It is integrated into the deck housing and reinforced to support the mowing system during operation.
Integrated Tie-Down Hooks
Four welded steel hooks provide dedicated anchor points for transporting the mower. Two tie-down hooks are positioned on each side of the machine.
Tool-Free Drain Hose
A tool-free drain hose simplifies engine oil removal. The hose can be uncapped and used to drain the oil without requiring additional tools.
Hand Guards
Built-in hand guards help protect the operator’s hands from brush, briars, and other obstacles encountered during field and brush mowing.
Assembled in the USA
According to the manufacturer, the XD30 is assembled in the USA using foreign and domestic parts. The original manufacturer information states that the product ships directly from the manufacturer’s Wisconsin factory.
