All-Terrain Trimming

The PRO XLT is designed for trimming tall grass and weeds in rough or off-lawn areas. It can be towed behind compatible vehicles while the operator remains seated on the towing vehicle.

Depending on the towing vehicle, the trimmer can reach up to 4 feet outside the vehicle’s wheelbase, allowing the operator to work along fence lines, walls, ditches, trees, mailboxes, and other obstacles.

Quick-Lock™ Trimmer Head

The PRO XLT features the patented Quick-Lock™ Trimmer Head, which is designed to make cutting-cord replacement quick and tool-free.

The gripping system holds the replacement cord in the trimmer head. The system accepts the specified 225 and 255 mil cutting cords. For replacement cord purchases, the manufacturer specifies using either Quick-Lock 13-inch pre-cut cord or a compatible bulk cord roll.

Spring-Loaded Trimming Head

The spring-loaded trimming head is designed to deflect around obstacles such as:

• Rocks
• Fence posts
• Walls
• Mailboxes
• Other obstacles

The tension can be adjusted according to the type of obstacle being trimmed. Lighter tension can be used around more delicate obstacles, while stronger tension can be selected for harder obstacles such as fence posts and rocks.

Offset Cutting

The PRO XLT provides three cutting positions, allowing the trimmer to be towed directly behind the towing vehicle or offset to reach outside the vehicle’s normal cutting path.

This allows the operator to position the trimming head according to the area being maintained.

Smart Shield

The Smart Shield encloses the cutting cord along the cutting edge while leaving the rear portion open for access when changing the trimming cord.

According to the manufacturer, the design allows trimming to within 1/2 inch of an obstacle.

Anti-Scalping Wheel

An adjustable-height Anti-Scalping Wheel helps control the cutting height while reducing the potential for scalping the ground. The wheel can be adjusted according to the desired trimming height and terrain.

Versatile Pin Hitch

The PRO XLT uses an adjustable-height pin hitch that can be positioned to accommodate different towing vehicles.
