The DR® PRO MAX34 Field and Brush Mower is a walk-behind brush mower designed for clearing large areas of field grass and brush. It features a 34-inch pivoting mowing deck, a 20 HP Briggs & Stratton® Professional Series V-Twin engine, power steering, three forward speeds, one reverse speed, and right-side discharge.

34-Inch Pivoting Mowing Deck

The PRO MAX34 features a 34-inch mowing deck, providing a wide cutting path for clearing field grass and brush. The deck extends beyond the machine’s wheelbase, allowing the mower to cut closer to obstacles such as fence lines, buildings, and trees.

Unlike a rigid fixed deck, the DR® pivoting deck moves from side to side to follow changes in ground contours. According to the manufacturer, this design helps minimize scalping and improve traction on uneven terrain.

20 HP Briggs & Stratton® Professional Series Engine

The PRO MAX34 is equipped with a 20 HP Briggs & Stratton® Professional Series OHV V-Twin engine with 650cc displacement and electric starting.

The engine features a full-pressure oil pump for positive lubrication, including when operating on side slopes, along with a spin-on oil filter and two cast-iron cylinder sleeves.

Power Steering

The PRO MAX34 uses a disc-brake-based power steering system. Each wheel has its own brake, operated by a hand lever.

Applying the brake on one side allows the mower to pivot around that wheel, helping the operator maneuver the machine without having to wrestle with the full weight of the mower.

Side Discharge
